Description
Our school is seeking experienced elementary school teachers to educate a single class of students, with the support of a teaching aide. The Teacher will create lesson plans, administer praise and constructive criticism, instruct students on subjects including Bible, Language Arts, Math, Science and Character Education. Teacher will maintain a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program in a student-centered classroom.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree and Florida teacher certification required.
2. Excellent oral and communication skills.
3. Flexible team player, able to relate effectively with diverse staff, students, parents and community within a rigorous elementary school academic environment.

1. Support and model our school’s Christian Code of Conduct in speech, dress and practice.
2. Demonstrates a working knowledge of methods, materials and techniques used to teach content for elementary students, equitably.
3. Maintain a caring, student-centered classroom environment that invites exploration and inquiry.
4. Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate planning and preparation and are consistent with the pacing guide and the Florida Content Standards for Elementary Education in all content areas.
5. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and materials, which are appropriate to meet the needs of all students and understands the value of differentiating instruction.
6. Organizes classroom systems/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged and learning.
7. Develops and implements Student Accommodation Plans, as needed.
8. Assesses students’ critical thinking and social-emotional skills for the purposes of refining classroom activities and providing feedback to students, parents and administrations regarding students’ progress, expectations and goals.
9. Actively participates in professional development opportunities for the purposes of improving the quality of student outcomes and planning curriculum in elementary education.
